The Haitian Earthquake




We live in a shaky world. Earthquakes can strike nearly anywhere on the planet. And a big one (7.0) struck Haiti yesterday (1/12/10). The casualty and damage tolls are yet to be tallied. But from all the reports, this one is major. The US and other nations are responding quickly with food, water, and medicine. And they are to be applauded.


I take this opportunity to offer a prayer and good thoughts for the people of Haiti and for their families and friends in the US and around the world.



"The Heart and Spirit of the world are with you, people of Haiti. And though it may not appear so at this moment, you have not been abandoned by the Creator of All That Is."
