New Thought Sunday Message--May 16, 2010: Love is in the practice!

“Love is but discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition.”
Alexander Smith

Love…

“Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.”
Franklin P. Jones

Love is more in the practice than the feeling. Here are some simple if not easy ways to increase the practice of love in your life:

·      Release any nasty temperament, yours and others’, and let it simply roll off your back.  How? Silently bless everyone you interact with every day.
·      Allow others to help you. They want to. It’s another way for you to give!
·      Consciously choose the path of kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Caution: The practice of love--that is, compassion--sets you on a different path through the world. Be prepared for some interesting changes and side trips. Love is not necessarily a gentle ride. You will be challenged. Practice love anyway.

“Teach this simple truth to all: a generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things that renew humanity.”
The Buddha
