The Mistreated White Man—Really?
I have been following the confirmation hearings of Judge Sotomayor and am amazed not only at the racism coming from the Republican congressmen but at the outright blatancy of it. They make no pretense about it. Haven’t seen anything like this since the ‘60s or was it the ‘90s? But, when you’re a white male evangelical Christian, it’s not surprising. My dad was one of you. I saw it all my life. Almost caught me. But I saw the proverbial light and escaped.
