Your Life Is In Your Hands: Handle with Dare! (Or, Take a Risk Now and Then...)

As has been said, life is either a bold adventure or nothing. These writers have been sources of inspiration for me over the years. I share them with you in hopes they may stimulate or inspire or kick you in the butt or something. Read with open mind, heart, spirit. This really is a great journey if you step out from behind your own walls. Enjoy!

"Never feel sorry for anyone. If there were a magic pill available that would put an end to one's problems, most people would not take it." Murray Oxman - How to Read People Like a Book

"'I wish' means: Wouldn't it be nice if...  If you always make the 'right' decision, the one most people make, you will be the same as everyone else--always wishing life was different." Paul Arden - Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite

"Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better." Richard Hooker, 16th C. English theologian

"Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them." Ann Landers

"Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted by getting what you have, which, once you have got it, you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted, had you known." Garrison Keillor

The greatest block to our spiritual awareness and growth is self-pity. And when you are afraid to step out and take a few risks, you are, in essence, feeling sorry for yourself. And you are 'way too important, too valuable, too gifted to be sitting on your hands, hoping things will get better.

Make them get better.
