This week, I share three of my favorite quotes and just a tiny bit of commentary about each. They pretty much speak for themselves. Enjoy...
"Our life is not a series of random, insignificant, disconnected events. Anything that we do is meaningful, one way or another. So, don't waste your day." Reginald Ray, Buddhist teacher
It's much easier to see ourselves as unworthy than to see ourselves as having great value. Truth is, you can choose either one so why not choose value? Surprisingly, when you choose to see yourself as valuable, others will as well.
"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers." M. Scott Peck
We can get easily bored without the turmoils and upsets in life. See them as the great gifts they are, even if tragic. Hard to do, but worth the effort. You become stronger, more resilient, and, ultimately, happier.
"A grateful person trusts enough to give life another chance, to stay open for surprises." Bro. David Steindl-Rast
Gratitude is not just a word; rather, it's a way of life. When you walk through the world in thanksgiving, you walk through a better world. You'll find a new and dazzling adventure around every corner. Miracles are assured.
